Trojan introduced this durable aft-cabin cruiser back in 1970, calling her the 36 Sea Raider. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a wood deckhouse and a teak cockpit and deck, the transition to all-fiberglass construction was made in 1972 when she became the 36 Tri-Cabin. The long-running popularity of this boat had much to do with an affordable price and the privacy afforded by her aft-cabin interior. Several galley-up floorplans were offered over the years with the last introduced in 1986 featuring walkaround double berths in both staterooms and a U-shaped galley forward in the salon. With the superstructure extending well aft on the hull, an expanded helm area with lots of seating permits the driver to easily converse with family and guests. Walkaround decks and a small aft deck/cockpit make the Tri-Cabin an easy boat to dock. Although diesels were an option, the majority were sold with gas power. Note that the Sea Raider and a few of the early model Tri-Cabins were fitted with V-drives with the engines located beneath the berths in the owners stateroom. With the 250hp Chryslers, the Trojan 36 Tri-Cabin will cruise at 16 knots. Both engines received a tune-up June of 2020 and are ready for a sea trial.
With the purchase of this vessel includes a slip at the beautiful Duncan Bay in Cheboygan, MI for the summer of 2020.
