Grady-White's always trying to please all of the people all of the time. The company calls this dual console part of its "new generation" of family fishing boats. As you can no doubt see, the 205 is set up to tow water-sports accoutrements from the post in the cockpit. However, rest assured that G-W doesn't make a boat that can't fish well.
Families will particularly appreciate the enclosed head with an oversize "corner door" opening. The head (like a center console) can double as a supersized, lockable dry-storage area. Another concession to family is the spacious bow seating area with standard cushioned seats. Under the cushions at starboard, the huge insulated, overboard-draining, 83-quart icebox will accommodate a lucky day's catch or all the refreshments a family could need. The portside cushion hides another spacious storage area. With an optional sun-platform cushioned insert, the entire bow becomes a nice sun deck. Remove the cushions to create a large casting deck.
Grady knows that the back of a boat is for serious business, so it still makes the cockpit a full 50 square feet, and with the horizontal rod racks and gunwale-mounted rod holders, you can store 10 fishing rods. All cleats come recessed so you won't snag a line, and if you choose, refit the 16-gallon insulated box forward of the motor as a livewell.
So here's the idea. Go out fishing for the day, and catch dinner. Then after dinner, take your party of up to eight for a sunset harbor cruise. That's called multitasking.
